PAP: Otuaro's reforms are transformative, Ozobo tells Kwalekeme
Prominent Niger Delta activist, Senior Comrade Ozobo Austin, has condemned the recent attacks on High Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), by those he described as "shenanigans and hungry motor park Agberos" while expressing disappointment that some elders in the Niger Delta region were prioritizing personal interests over regional progress.
In a statement released by Ozobo, the rights activist alleged that the criticism against the PAP Boss are "sponsored", referring to them as "cheap blackmail" driven by personal interests.
He further alleged that such attackers of have made it their stock in trade to blackmail and carry out a campaign of calumny to defraud and cow political office holders for pecuniary gains.
"We completely condemned the derogatory statements, attacks and blackmail from people who barely play any role in the Niger Delta struggle," Ozobo stated.
He asked jobless elders like Cletus Okwalekeme to go and look for work to do and repent from blackmailing people for personal interests.
"Elder Okwalekeme is seeking cheap attention, the public should ignore him. It's part of failure and shameful that some elders like Kwalekeme out of hunger resorting to a cheap blackmail," the statement added.
Ozobo commended Dr. Otuaro's performance, saying, "Dr. Dennis Otuaro has performed extremely well. We should be grateful for what he is doing for Niger Delta through PAP."
He added that attacking Otuaro for personal gain is unacceptable and desperation taken too far, and urged the enemies to desist forthwith.
He appealed to Dr. Otuaro not to be distracted by infighting and sponsored campaigns of blackmails by faceless groups and failed individuals, stating that the PAP Administrator should continue his good works for the Niger Delta region.
