The illumination Executive Council of Opuede Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has rallied indigenes of the riverine community to join hands with the executive leadership to "build on the gains made and then open up new frontiers for the growth and development" of the community.

The charge is contained in a new year message titled "A Clarion Call to Rebuild Opuede Community. (A New Year Message of Hope and Illumination)" that was signed by the chairman of the community, Mackson Ode Esq., on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.

Barr. Ode also appealed to stakeholders he might have offended in the course of his ambition to transform the community, to set aside any difference and to join hands together with the executive leadership to move the community forward for the interest of all.

The new year message reads:

"Happy New Year, my good people of Opuede Federated Community. I hope the year 2025 has begun for you in positivities, new hopes, dreams, aspirations and good health.

"The Year 2024 came with ALL its challenges but, glory be to God Almighty, who graciously endowed us with the ability to surmount the hurdles and made them opportunities for us to gain new grounds. By God's grace, we shall build on gains made and then open up new frontiers for the growth and development of our dear Opuede Federated Community.

"I am grateful to God for the journey so far. I am also very grateful to all of you my wonderful brothers and sisters who God have used in one way or the other to add to support what He is doing in Opuede Federated Community. May God Almighty guard and keep you; may He make ways for you to prosper in the works of your hands; and may He bless and honour you.

"The Year 2025 is laden with load of hopes and promises of several opportunities for us as a community as well as individuals. I plead with you not to despair. Let's keep moving as we commit our dear Opuede (Jerusalem) community before God. Let's avoid the "Sambalat and Tobias" of our time to Opuede. OPUEDE SHALL BE REBUILT. OPUEDE SHALL BE GREAT AGAIN. THE GLORY OF OUR ANCESTRAL LAND, OPUEDE SHALL BE RESTORED. OPUEDE IS OUR HOME. 

"Ones again, If I have offended you or anyone in the cause of driving my vision for Opuede in my capacity as the Chairman of Opuede Federated Community, please forgive me. BIESEKUMOR. Come let's work together to build one big and great Opuede Federated Community for us ALL and for the next generation.
