ONDO: Kegbe unveils vision as Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters launches

27 Sep, 2024

Doctor Kegbe, the chief executive and publisher of Arogbo-Ibe Voice Reporters, has highlighted the media outfit’s commitment to youth empowerment and its vision of fostering positive social change through journalism, as the media organisation officially launches on Friday, September 27, 2024.

The launching is taking place at the Arogbo Civic Centre in Arogbo, Ondo State, beginning from 10:00am, according to the publisher.

Kegbe further disclosed that the highly anticipated event marks a significant milestone for media representation in the Niger Delta region, with the outfit aiming to provide objectively informed coverage of socio-political and economic issues affecting the local communities.

Key stakeholders expected at the launch include traditional leaders, government officials, media professionals, and prominent community members, who are all expected to be in attendance.

According to the publisher, "The event promises to pull a large turnout from Arogbo and its environs as they celebrate the introduction of a platform dedicated to amplifying their voices and addressing the concerns of the Niger Delta on a broader scale.

“We aim to empower young people in the region by providing them with the tools and opportunities to engage in media and storytelling that can shape the future of the Niger Delta,” he added.

In addition to speeches and cultural presentations, the launch will also include an award segment; recognising distinguished individuals who have made notable contributions to the development and progress of the Niger Delta region.

The Arogbo-Ibe community eagerly anticipates the launch, as it represents a new era of grassroots media empowerment and local development.
