OGULAGHA: Obotobo II Community to honour late Amaokosu-ere Mama Inoryor Potoki, funeral rites begin Oct. 31

The late Mama Inoryor Potoki Nee Fatiede Guwor, who until her passing to eternal glory was the Amaokosu-ere of Obotobo II Community in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, is to be honoured with a traditional and social burial rites that begin in the community on Friday, October 31, 2025.
This is contained in a funeral notice announcing the burial of the late Mama Potoki, signed by the Olotu of Ogulagha Kingdom Chief Council Guwor (JP), and the Ibe-Ebidouwei of Ogulagha Kingdom Chief William O. Borme (JP) for the families; and by Her Royal Majesty, Queen Nurse Timiyan (JP) and Mrs. Orolamogha Emomoboye for the children.
According to the funeral arrangements, by 8:00am on Friday, October 21, 2025, the body of the Amaokosu-ere will leave the Vennel Hospital Mortuary via Miller Waterfront Jetty near NPA to her residence in Etwekime Idumu, Obotobo II Community.
On arrival, a traditional and social wake-keep ceremony will take place, with music to be supplied by the Numu Pere of Izon-Ibe King Pere-ama Freetown, to be followed by interment on Saturday, November 1, 2025.
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, a final traditional and social wake-keep will hold in same venue with music to be supplied by the Numu-Pere of Isaba Kingdom, Prince Abraham Dono.
The late Mama Potoki, who passed away at the age of 104 years on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, hails from the families of Guwor of Olorigbo and Akere-Ware Idumu; the Eblemene of Obuko Idumu in Ogulagha Town, and the Tonghan of Etwekime Idumu of Obotobo II community, all in Ogulagha Kingdom.
