The death has been announced of Late Madam Power Idibi Sukunu nee Ukuli, the grandmother of Hon. Akpodiekumor Oturubo.

Her grandson, Hon. Oturubo, was a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Community Development to the Delta State Government, and the immediate past chairman of Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

The news of the death of the deceased was disclosed by Boan. Dr. Isaac Ukuli, an elder of the family, in a chat with PENGlobal community on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

According to Dr. Ukuli who confirmed the tragic news, the Late Madam Sukunu passed away in the late hours of Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her residence in Benikrukru community, an oil bearing community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta State.

As at the time of filing this report, no date has been announced by the families of the deceased. According to Dr. Ukuli, a date for a befitting burial rite will be made known to the public after due consultations by the families.

The late Madam Sukunu is paternally from Ebiabu quarter in oil-rich Kokodiagbene community and maternally from Oboro quarter in Benikrukru, both in Gbaramatu Kingdom.
