NMU: Hon. Ebizi salutes Oborevwori, other leaders on commissioning of project at Okerenkoko

The councillor representing Okerenkoko Federated Community Ward 19, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in the Warri South-West Local Government Council of Delta State, Hon. Sinwa Ebizi, has thanked Governor Rt. Hon. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for visiting his constituency for the commissioning of an infrastructure project at the Nigerian Maritime University, NMU, Okerenkoko.

The governor had visited the coastal community of Okerenkoko, the permanent site of the NMU, to commission the infrastructure project that comprises of a lecture hall and a faculty building, as well as awarded a road leading to the university on Friday, October 4, 2024.

Present at the commissioning is the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor; former deputy governor of the state, Dcn. Kingsley Otuaro; chairman of Warri South-West LG Council, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, a former chairman of Warri South-West LG Council, Hon. George Ekpemupolo, among others.

Part of the appreciation message of appreciation reads: "I, Hon. Ebizi Aaron Sinwa, the councillor representing the good people of Okerenkoko Federated Community Ward 19, Gbaramatu Kingdom, in the Legislative arm of Warri South-West Local Government Council, welcome our dear executive governor and leader of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori JP, to my constituency.

"Your Excellency, it is an honour to receive your honourable presence on the occasion of the commissioning of the maritime infrastructure project here in Okerenkoko, the permanent site of the NMU. I therefore appreciate you and your entourage as well as thank you for taking time from other busy schedules to honour us with your presence.

"I believe this visit to Gbaramatu Kingdom, though not the first, will further avail you with much insights on the need for more befitting infrastructures that the riverine area lacks and needs, and will therefore prompt your leadership to site such desired projects in the oil-rich kingdom,.

“On such infrastructure, I also thank you for awarding the construction of the road leading the maritime university, a practical demonstration of matching your words with action. May God bless you,” he added.

Hon. Ebizi also thanked other comnunity and party leaders for contributing to the development of Okerenkoko community and for their presnce at the commissioning.

"I also salute the honourable speaker and number three citizen of our dear state, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor; also His Excellency, Dcn. (Barr.) Kingsley Otuaro; my executive chairman in Warri South-West LG Council, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni; my leader, Hon. George Ekpemupolo; my honourable house leader, Rt. Hon. Samuel Ekpemupolo; my amiable party chairman in Warri South-West, Mr. Godwin Omadoye; Chief Boro Opudu, chaiman, Delta Waterways and Land Security, and other political leaders for their presence.
