NIGER DELTA: Otuaro’s admin most peaceful, stable, dev't-driven — NDYCN, disowns imposter

The Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN) led by its National President, Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, has described the High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro's led Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) as the most peaceful, stable, and development-driven since the inception of the programme in the oil-rich region.

The NDYCN statement comes as the umbrella body of Niger Delta youths distances itself from a misleading publication allegedly made by one Mr. Becham Ufuoma, who it said has been falsely claiming to be the President of the organization.

In a rejoinder issued by the Council, while emphasizing that it has only one National President, described Ufuoma as an imposter who has never been elected, appointed, or endorsed by the organization, and whose statements do not represent its opinion.

Part of the rejoinder reads, "My attention has been drawn to a highly irresponsible and misleading publication made by Mr. Becham Ufuoma, who has been parading himself as 'President' of the Niger Delta Youth Council of Nigeria (NDYCN) and issuing reckless statements targeted at respected leaders of the Niger Delta region.

"Mr. Becham Ufuoma is an impostor. He has never been elected, appointed, nominated, or endorsed at any level of the NDYCN structure. He operates with no mandate and no legitimacy whatsoever.

"NDYCN has only ONE recognized National President. That office is vested in Amb. Blessing Adogbeji, duly acknowledged by stakeholders, youth blocs, regional leadership, and partnering institutions across the Niger Delta.

"NDYCN strongly distances itself from Ufuoma’s reckless comments. His statements do not represent NDYCN. They represent only his personal frustration, desperation, and failed attempts to seek relevance through impersonation.

"His attempt to run a parallel structure is criminal, fraudulent, and completely rejected. No individual can form a one-man contraption and attempt to drag a respected Niger Delta institution into disrepute. NDYCN will not tolerate such impersonation," it warned.

Throwing its weight behind the PAP Administrator, the NDYCN said it will support continually lend its support to credible leadership Otuaro's administration represents, calling those attacking the PAP Boss as ignorant.

"The Niger Delta Youth Council stands firmly with the Presidential Amnesty Programme under the leadership of the Chief (Dr.) Dennis Otuaro. Chief Otuaro’s administration remains the most peaceful, stable, and development-driven since the inception of the programme. His hands-on engagement, transparency, and impact across the region speak for themselves.

"Anyone attacking Chief Otuaro without facts is simply exposing their own ignorance and lack of understanding of Niger Delta governance dynamics. The NDYCN will continue to defend and support credible leadership that delivers results," it vowed.

While it called on the public to disregard Ufuoma’s publication as an imposter who has "no authority to speak for the Niger Delta youths", the NDYCN said it "remains focused on unity, strategic engagement, and regional development" and vowed that "We will not allow desperate, unauthorized individuals to undermine the integrity of this great institution."
