NIGER DELTA: NDBDA Chairman Ebikeme meets Minister of Water Resources Hon. Utsev
The newly appointed chairman of the Niger Delta Basin Development Authority (NDBDA), Chief Bosin Ebikeme, has met with the honourable Minister of Water Resources, Professor Joseph Utsev.
The meeting of the NDBDA chairman with the honourable minister held in the office of the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, in the nation's capital, Abuja, on Saturday, January 25, 2025.
The introduction of Chief Ebikeme to Hon. Utsev is seen as a significant step towards boosting collaboration towards enhancing the sustainable management, development and protection of the vital water resources.
Hon. Utsev, who was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023 is responsible for the management of water supply, irrigation, freshwater, aquaculture and oversees the river basin development authorities in the country through the Ministry of Water Resources.
Chief Ebikeme, a native of Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West council area of Delta State was among the newly appointed executive management team for the NDBDA approved by the president in December 2024.
Chief Ebikeme's wealth of experience and leadership in the public sector is undoubtedly expected to bring valuable insights to the NDBDA's mission in the Niger Delta region.
Moreover, the NDBDA Boss focus on sustainability, ecosystem protection, and clean water access will be instrumental in shaping a better future for the region.
