The House Leader in the legislative arm of Warri South-West Local Government Council and Leader of all Legislative Leaders in Delta State, Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo Idukedoumene Samuel, has been elected the National Financial Secretary of the National Councillors Forum of Nigeria (NCFN).

This was disclosed in an official statement issued by Comr: Douglas Obey Maxwell, Media Aide to Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo, and made available to PENGlobal on Friday, December 13, 2024.

Part of the statement reads, "Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo Idukedoumene Samuel has been elected as the National Financial Secretary of the National Councillors Forum of Nigeria at the recently concluded national convention and election in Abuja Nigeria.

"As the Leader of the Warri South-West Legislative Arm and the State Coordinator of the Forum, Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership and a deep commitment to grassroots development. His election reflects his peers’ confidence in his ability to strengthen financial accountability and legislative excellence within the Forum."

Comr: Maxwell in the statement stated that the House Leader in Warri South-West pledged to join hands together with other legislators to deliver good governance via effective policies that are people-oriented.

"In his acceptance speech, he reaffirmed his dedication to fostering developmental initiatives nationwide. He emphasized the crucial role of legislative functions in promoting good governance and pledged to work toward impactful policies that address the needs of local communities.

"This achievement marks a significant step in advancing the goals of the Forum and ensuring effective representation at all levels of governance," the statement concludes.

The National Councillors Forum of Nigeria is an umbrella body of all elected councillors in the country that seeks effective representation and furthering of good governance at the grassroots level.
