NAGS ELECTION: Edisemi Richard declares for Vice President, promises unity, transparency

A vice-presidential aspirant for the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), Comrade Edisemi Excel Richard, has formally declared her intention to contest for the office of Vice President, pledging to foster unity, transparency, and innovative leadership within the association.

In her campaign message, the aspirant, who is a native of Kokodiagbene community and a law student in Gregory University, Uturu, Abia State, urged members of the association to support her vision of building a stronger and more inclusive student body capable of advancing the collective interests of Gbaramatu students.

According to the campaign poster, Edisemi emphasized that together, members can build "a united student body that champions unity, promotes transparency, and inspires innovative thinking."

The vice-presidential hopeful appealed to students to vote for her, assuring them of purposeful leadership anchored on accountability, collaboration, and progressive ideas that will enhance the growth and development of the association.

Her campaign, bearing the slogans #ExcelCan and #ExcelWill, reflects a message of confidence and commitment to delivering effective representation if elected.

The NAGS, with the motto "Funke Tukpa," is expected to conduct its elections as members prepare to elect a new set of leaders to steer the affairs of the association at its 7th Mega Elective Convention scheduled to hold in Kokodiagbene Community from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 26, 2026.

Organised by the Convention Planning Committee chaired by Comrade Ubebe Brakoru Kester Denyefa, the elective convention is expected to attract students, community leaders, government officials, youth organisations, among others in Gbaramatu Kingdom.
