MOVEMENT FOR NEW NIGERIA: Barr. Juliet Yeiwareneghan emerges Deputy Legal Adviser in Delta Chapter
Woman leader, Chief Barr. Juliet Montere Yeiwareneghan of the People's Redemption Party, PRP, has been selected for inauguration as the Deputy Legal Adviser of the Delta State chapter of the Rescue The Vulnerable Initiative, known also as Movement for New Nigeria, a non-governmental organization that is established "to build a new Nigeria by Nigerians".
Chief Yeiwareneghan who ran on the PRP for House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections, Burutu Constituency 1 in the Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, will alongside 36 others be inaugurated at the Suofega Hotel & Suite, Ughelli, on Sunday, May 19, 2024, as announced by the State Coordinator, Comr. John Odubolu.
The Rescue The Vulnerable Initiative (Movement for New Nigeria) was established by "a group of dedicated and committed young Nigerian activists and reformers" with the "mission to build a new Nigeria by Nigerians" and is founded on the principles of equity, justice, peace, and greater opportunities for all, as contained in the NGO's profile.
The Movement for New Nigeria has as its mission statement, "To create an atmosphere in Nigeria charged with enthusiasm for unprecedented development and self-advancement", and its vision statement, "To make Nigeria a fully independent country capable of sustaining itself", with the goal, "To create a Nigeria where all citizens have equal opportunities and access to resources, and where the vulnerable are protected and empowered."
The NGO which calls on like-minded individuals and organizations to join in its mission to build a new Nigeria, aims to achieve its objectives through political party, radio and television programmes, publications, rallies, petitioning, teach-in seminars and conferences, call-in, defending the rights of Nigerians through non-violent action for social justice, community service, scholarship and empowerment, among others.
Chief Yeiwareneghan, who holds the traditional title of Ezonyin of Ezon-Ibe, and functions as the President of Federated Women for Nation Development in Nigeria, said she is honoured by the privilege to serve as well as delighted to be a part of the movement to transform the country.
