Dr. Raphael Eniye Biu, the founder of Raphael Biu Foundation, a not-for-profit non-governmental organization in Nigeria, has said that its medical outreach programme in the health sector "is projected to benefit 100 individuals each year by 2026."

Dr. Biu, the founder and chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Foundation, made the remark when he visited the Central Hospital in Warri, Delta State, for a medical outreach on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Accompanied by Mr. Gabriel Ukuli and Mr. Salt Ogbuji, both members of the Foundation, Dr. Biu made a tour of the hospital's wards that housed infants, children, accident victims, the aged among other invalids on admission.

Dr. Biu, who was moved by the health conditions of the sick, financially cleared the outstanding medical bills of some of the patients who could not afford to, during the visit.

Beneficiaries of the medical outreach reciprocated the kind gesture of the Foundation's founder with words of appreciation and offer of prayers of blessings.

It was also learnt that the medical outreach visit coincided with the birth anniversary of the founder who choose to impact lives positively on such a special day in his life and assured that more beneficiaries will, by God's special grace, benefit from the scheme as the years go by.

The Raphael Biu Foundation is founded in August 2023 with the aim to "create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive by educating young minds, supporting the weak, poverty alleviation, empowering women, protecting the environment and empowering marginalized voices."

According to its mission statement, the Foundation aims to drive meaningful impact by supporting innovative initiatives and partnerships that address pressing social, environmental, and economic challenges; as well as empowering marginalized voices, promoting equity, and fostering inclusive opportunities. Others include cultivating collaborative relationships and resources to amplify its collective influence; and investing in sustainable solutions that promote long-term positive change.
