MARRIAGE RECEPTION: Sheriff, Pedro, Tonlagha, Other Gbaramatu Socialites Join the Tebela's and the Nwuju's in Celebration of Love
It was a celebration of love between the families of Mr. and Mrs. Warri Tebela from Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, and the Late Mr. Sunday Nwuju and Mrs. Love Iheoma Nwuju of Umunkpota Eberi, Dikeomuo in Omuma LGA of Rivers State, on the occasion of the successful traditional marriage of their children Layefa and Prince Nnamdi, on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
The marriage reception, which held 12 Noon at the Warri Ramp (formerly Shell Ramp) by Enerhen Junction in Warri, Delta State, had in attendance some notable personalities from Gbaramatu communities such as Chief Sheriff Mulade, the Ibe Serimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and former chairman of Kokodiagbene community; Elder Amos Okoro, the chairman of Happy Men's Club; Comr. Pedro Bekenawei, the chairman of Kokodiagbene; Sir Victor Tonlagha.
Others are Chief (Engr.) George Timiyan, Chief (Capt.) Felix Eguare, Chief Paul Ukuli, Chief Roland Ekpemupolo, Chief Emmanuel Ekpetipu, Chief Isaac Gbabo, Chief (Mrs.) Ebidoumene Ojogun (who also led the Top Ladies of Gbaramatu Kingdom sociocultural group), Capt. Mark Timiyan, Capt. Dickson Timiyan, Mr. Wilfred Koko, Mr. Tuoyo (Amadino chairman).
In attendance also are Engr. Peter Ekpetipu, Elder Ari S. Ari, Hon. Jimoh Keniye, Hon. Uyadonghan Powede, Engr. Johnson Powede, Mr. Edwin Aruwei; Mr. Abraham Tadafe, Mrs. Jimoh Keniye (who led the Warri Beke Group of Friends social group), Madam December Ojogun, Dcns. Ati Odafe, Madam Sagana Bubor AKA Ologbo 1 (who led Kokodiagbene Urban women group), Mrs. Love Eguare, Mrs. Yema Okoro and a host of others.
Among the host of Kokodiagbene youths are the President of Kokodiagbene Youth Development Movement, KYDM, Comr. Blessing Laide and members of the executives; Comr. Julius Keniye (AKA Wire), Comr. Cousin Doutimi, Mr. Bako Igere, Mr. Timadi, Comr. Ebipade Timiyan, Comr. Kelvin Igere, Mr. Edison Aduke.
The beautiful and handsome couple, who earlier had their traditional marriage on Thursday, 25 January 2024, arrived the venue after noon time clothed in their glamorous golden native attires to the admiration of guests present.
The ceremony, which officially kicked off after an opening prayer by Engr. Ekpetipu, with comedian standup by MC Abioka the Entertainer, Mr. Right, among others, while musical entertainment was provided by Chief Kingsley Takemebo and his Izon band.
Highlights of the ceremony include the cutting of the marriage cake by the couple and appreciation by guests in attendance with presentation of gifts, with dance in celebration of the union.
The bride, Mrs. Layefa Nwuju, is the daughter of the vice chairman of Kokodiagbene, Mr. Warri Tebela, who hails from Oporoza and Kokodiagbene among other related communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom.
