MARRIAGE RECEPTION: My husband can cook very well — Bride bares it all. Advises ladies 'Don't go for spec'

Newly-wedded couple, Mr. Edisemi Mike & Mrs. Angel Ejiroghene Blackman, celebrated the success of their union with families, friends and well-wishers at the Uvwie Town Hall in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

The joyful celebration featured the cutting of the marriage cake and a special dance session by the latest couple among other fun-filled activities earmarked to celebrate the milestone.

Earlier, the couple were joined together in a wedding ceremony at the Grace Baptist Church, exactly a month after their traditional marriage ceremony which held on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Speaking to PENGlobal Social, the latest bride, Mrs. Ejiroghene, who hails from Agbarho Town in Ughelli North L.G.A., revealed that her union was divinely inspired, among other affections.

"We met where I worked. Actually, the first time, I did not feel anything," she recalled, but quickly added, "Actually, as time goes by I noticed he's calm, he's humble, has respect and he knows how to treat a woman well, he can cook and he's very romantic," she further revealed.

As their union has been sealed in love via their traditional and white wedding, the bride, formerly known as Mrs. Ejiroghene Angel Diabeta, said she looked forward "to more things that God has in store for us, because as He said (in His word), He that findeth a wife, findeth blessings, good things, prosperity. So now, since I've become one with him, I'm looking forward to having children, having great potentials, and the rest."

And what does she feel single women still searching for a partner need to learn from her experience in order to win the heart of their men?

"First of all is to put God first. At the initial stage, it's just God. It's what God has destined. But after putting God first, you as the lady or a woman, you have to be calm, humble and patient," she counseled while recalling challenging moments during their courtship when she contemplated on letting go, "But, I just ignored. I was patient with him," she admitted.

"So you have to be patient, loving, and don't count the wrong of the past. Then love everyone genuinely, your husband's people, anybody related to him, the same way you love him, extend it to all of them. And, as a lady, be yourself, don't always go forward for, I want my speck because if it's spec, I won't get married to him."

Mrs. Blackman also disclosed that the most important part of her attraction for her husband is that he is "a lover of God" who does not joke with church, adding "That love of God is number one among everything."
