After more than a decade in their union of unbroken bond, Comrade Pori T. Wisdom and Juliet Oroupade finally tied the nuptial knot, first, in a traditional marriage setting at the bride's father's residence on Friday, December 13, and later, in a wedding ceremony on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the Living Word Overcomers Outreach Ministry, both in Orhuwhorun Town, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The celebration of the union climaxed into a reception party the couple hosted for their families, friends and other guests, at the Jubilee Hotels and Conference centre in Enerhen Road, Effurun.

prominent among the guests is the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief (Engr ) Kestin Pondi; as well as members of the Gbaramatu Kingdom chapter of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide and the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC).

The celebration was marked with a special dance to the tunes of by the couple after making their entry and the cutting of their marriage cake.

"I feel very happy that my dreams have come to pass," said Mrs. Juliet Pori, during a chat with PENGlobal Social. "That's what I was expecting for the past 12 years but finally God has done it," the mother of four children and a native of Isaba Kingdom, added.

While adducing financial hiccups as the factor responsible for the long time it took them to officially get married, she however cautioned other women in similar relationship to be patient and to rely on God for the right time.

"They (women) should pray to God, they should be patient in life. It's not easy. They should put their hope in God, that one day everything is going to happen. So I just want to advise that they should be patient and be grateful to God."

Speaking further on what she found attractive in her husband, she said, "He's caring, he's kind, he's lovely, and you know, when I'm hungry or when I'm angry, he knows how to enter me and make my anger goes away.

"So, he's my hero, he's my king, he's my adviser. I don't know how to express my feelings. He is the best man," she added amidst laughter.

It was indeed the happiest day for the couple, particularly for Mrs. Juliet, who had long waited patiently, with prayers, for her dream to come to fruition having seen and attended other women's marriage celebration.
