MARRIAGE APPRECIATION: Thank You for the Honour and Show of Love — Mr. & Mrs. Uroju

updated 07 Aug, 2023

We, MR. & MRS. RICHARD UROJU OGBELEGBANWEI, are highly overwhelmed by the massive show of love at our wedding and reception which held on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, at the Eagle Wings Gospel Church Int'l, Enerhen, and the NNPCL Senior Staff Club in Ekpan, respectively, both in Delta State. We are still grappling with the right words to use in expressing our profound appreciation.

Nonetheless, we begin our note of gratitude to our Sovereign Maker, the Almighty God, in whom marriage as an institution originated from, for His mighty benevolence towards us. The ceremonies all went according to His Will for us and the atmosphere was pleasant beyond what words could describe. To Him we offer all THANKS for not only making our dream to become reality, but for His provisions, favours, protection, mercies, and blessings.

Amazingly, while we as a couple see ourselves as 'ordinary people', we were indeed taken aback by the caliber of guests that graced the wedding, most especially the reception ceremony. Mentioning all of these very important personalities, occasioned by the office they occupy in our society, would indeed be a herculean task. However, our gratitude go to the third citizen of Delta State by virtue of his office as Honourable Speaker in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, who, despite the demands of his office, spared us his time to join other prominent guests to celebrate our union. Sir, we are grateful and we say THANK YOU.

To the highly exceptional leaders in the Gbaramatu Traditional Council of Chiefs, we are expressly grateful for your royal presence which added more glamour to the ceremonies. As our fathers and mothers, we are indebted to you all for your honourable presence and for your immeasurable gifts.

Also, not forgetting the chairman of the occasion, Elder Amos Okoro, who is also the chairman of the Happy Men's Club, we say THANK YOU for your presence and support to us.

To all representatives from the various youths and student union bodies in Gbaramatu Kingdom and in the Ijaw Nation, we are highly grateful to you all for coming out in your large numbers to share in our memorable moments. Among these bodies are the Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC, Worldwide; the Ijaw Council, IYC, Worldwide, Gbaramatu Clan; the National Association of Gbaramatu Students, NAGS; and the National Association of Delta Ijaw Students, NADIS; among so many others. May God bless you all abundantly.

To our friends and countless well-wishers, we also say THANK YOU for gracing our ceremonies. We will also not forget our very own families, the Onovughe and the Ogelegbanwei's, for their untiring efforts in the form of prayers, counsel, and other contributions toward making the ceremonies a huge success.

As we earlier mentioned, the names are endless. And so if we fail to recognise you please pardon us. It is our resolve in prayers that the Almighty God, who sees all of your efforts both in secret and in the open will richly reward you all in Jesus name, Amen.

Congratulations to us and God bless you all once again.
