The Gbaramatu Current Affairs of the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, a magazine compilation of information on the ancient kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, is soon to hit the news stand and the social media space.

Set to be published by Barr. Ekpemupolo Frank, the magazine is an effort to tell a better story of the kingdom and to create awareness among the Gbaramatu people as well as educate other readers who desire to know more about the ancient kingdom.

Gbaramatu Kingdom, which has as its headquarters, Oporoza community, is host to the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) Okerenkoko with takeoff site at Kurutie community; and also plays host to International Oil Companies (IOCs) among other national and foreign brands.

The kingdom which is under the traditional rule of the Pere, His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, is home to the former deputy governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Dcn. (Barr.) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro; the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor; and the prominent Niger Delta leader, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo popularly known as Tompolo.
