LEADERSHIP: IPF appreciates Chief Benjamin Ekeremor, commends his positive exploits in the Niger Delta

Chief Benjamin Ekeremor, a Niger Delta leader and philanthropist, has been honoured with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Ijaw Publishers' Forum, IPF, in recognition of his selfless and humanitarian services in the Ijaw Nation and in the region.
The honour was presented to the Niger Delta leader by the National President of IPF, Comrade Ozobo Austin, on behalf of the Ijaw apex media council on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Among members of IPF in attendance are Mr Oyinbi Onduku (Vice President), Mr Tare Magei (Secretary), Dr Perez Bibakefie (Assist Secretary), Elder Opukeme Cletus, Pastor Arex Akemotubo, Mr Tam Okumbiri, Mr Preye Ekpegha, Mr Tamaradoubra Benjamin, and others.
According to Comrade Ozobo, who did the presentation during the Benja Light Academy Inter-House Sports competition in Okosuama community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, noted that the recipient deserves more than such an honour.
He said, "Gen. Benjamin Ekeremor deserved more than just an award following his sterling track record as a key player in Niger Delta emancipation struggle and humanitarian services" while doing the honours.
In his response, Chief Ekeremor, known as the double Ogungbenowei of Niger Delta, expressed his gratitude to the Ijaw Publishers' Forum for recognizing his roles in the betterment of Niger Delta region.
He further pledged that the award would encourage him to do more for his people and for the Niger Delta region.
Chief Ekeremor also prayed for total peace in the region which he noted is needed to consolidate on the gains achieved so far and to create more opportunities for wealth creation and youth development.
