LEADERSHIP: Inikorogha community inaugurates Capt. Ubebe-led exco as former chairman Comr. Pudie list achievements
The newly elected executive council of Inikorogha Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, chaired by Capt. William Ubebe, has been inaugurated with a charge to build on the achievements of their predecessors.
The searing-in/inauguration ceremony held at the community's playground with elders, women and youths in attendance as witness on Friday, February 7, 2025.
Other executive members that were inaugurated along with the chairman are Comrade Ejoh Ebullient Ebisinde (Vice Chairman), Comrade (Engr.) Diawei Goddowell (Secretary), Comrade Wonighan Lawrence (Public Relations Officer), Comrade Abioto Peremorbowei Prosper (Financial Secretary), and Mrs. Edi Ebiyai (Treasurer).
The swearing-in exercise was performed by the Legal Advisor to Inikorogha Federated Community, Barr. Perabor Dickson Minama, and Barr. (Mrs.) Tamarapreye Minama Ogburigho.
Earlier, the outgoing chairman, Comrade Pudie, who in his speech said he eas elected into office in 2020, thanked the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, for his peaceful reign that has ushered development and growth to the kingdom.
He also appreciated the people of Inikorogha for their collective support and unity towards the success recorded during his tenure and for their desire for the prosperity of the community, while charging them to give same support to the new leadership.
Among some of the achievements of his administration include the erection of a signpost at the entrance of the community, the provision of electricity (a project he inherited from the former chairman, Comr. Christopher Ejoh's leadership), the creation of pipeline surveillance slots from High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo to the people as empowerment, the mobilisation of the community to support, via their votes, the current speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, among others.
Woman leader and the Ibe Benemo-ere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief Vero Emmanuel JP, mother of the day, commended the turnout of the ceremony and prayed for the success of the new exco.
On their part, the Secretary of Okerenkoko Federated Community, Comrade Andrew Bebenimibo, on behalf of the chairman, Dr. Shadrack Otuaro, gifted the exco a sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira in support of the newly inaugurated leadership.
Comrade Bebenimibo also charged tje exco members to put the interest of the community foremost as they serve the people and urged the chairman to give priority attention to education in the community stressing its importance to community development.
Guests in attendance include Chief Samuel Okrika JP (Father of the Day), Chief Victoria Ukulor, Elder Capt Paul Ukulor, Elder Sunday Tenkumor, Chief Isaac Pudie (Planning Committee Chairman), Comr. Raphael Ayeibo (Planning Committee Secretary), among others.
The new executives will serve in their various elected offices for a term of four years.
