LEADERSHIP: Diebiri-Batan Community Inaugurates New Exco, Solicits Support From Stakeholders
The newly selected executive committee of Diebiri-Batan community in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, led by its chairman, Comrade Goodluck Ekpebide, has solicited the support of the State Government, the Warri South-West LG Council, as well as corporate organizations operating in the area to assist the new administration in bringing the much needed development to the community and the entire Diebiri Clan at large.
Comrade Ekpebide, who made the appeal of recent at the inauguration ceremony of the new executives at the community town hall, also disclosed that a Thanksgiving service of the new executives will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
Other members of the executives selected are Samson Ekpelagha, Vice Chairman; Feridnard Atutu, Secretary; Blessing Berlyn, Public Relations Officer; Joseph Igbelegbe, Assistant Secretary; Timipere Ogbebine, Financial Secretary; Stickman Amalade, Welfare Officer; David Namabiri, Organizing Secretary; Solomon Boukan, Adviser; and Solomon Ogugu, member.
Speaking earlier at the inauguration ceremony, the Amaokosu-owei (eldest man) in Diebiri-Batan, Pa. James Osuobiri, counseled the new leadership to regard all sons and daughters of the community as one indivisible family.
Pa Osuobiri, who spoke on behalf of the various families in the community, also called on those not elected to embrace and support the new leadership body so as to usher in the long awaited socio-economic development in the community.
Other leaders of the community present at the event also advised the new executive members to be focused and to adhere to the provisions of the Diebiri-Batan community Constitution that has been in operation since June 2013.
In his response on behalf of members of the new executive, the new chairman, Comrade Ekpebide assured the elders, leaders, youths and women of Diebiri-Batan community that his exco will run an all-inclusive administration, promising to be servant leaders, just as he solicited support from stakeholders in the State.
The tenure of the new executives commences 23rd July 2023, and will run to July 2025.
