LATE REV. EMMAN-IMELEYE: A Note of Appreciation

updated 13 Feb, 2024

We, the family of Rev. (Dr.) Emmanuel Imeleye, to the glory of the Almighty God have laid to eternal rest our departed wife, mother, and God's General, Late Rev. (Mrs.) Adetola  Olufunmilayo Bidemi Emman-Imeleye, whose final burial rites held in Benikrukru community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State on Friday, February 9, 2024.

We thank our Almighty Father in the Heavens, who gives and takes, for His Will towards us. We also thank Him for His grace of protection and for the provisions received to perform our duties to the departed soul, especially during the funeral rites which went as planned. We also thank Him for the strength He has given us to overcome the human grief as we are sure of His promise of everlasting life to His children. We are therefore not hopeless but have more than assurance while on the Earth.

We acknowledge our traditional fathers: His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Gbaramatu Traditional Council of Chiefs; and His Royal Majesty, Elder Capt. Dr. King Joseph Ijawperebo Timiyan (JP), Torububou 1, Agbonu, the Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom and the Ogulagha Kingdom Traditional Council of Chiefs, for their embalming words and prayers of comfort as well as the honour accorded us.

We are also grateful to the countless personalities within the body of Christ for their encouragement, prayers, counsels and other forms of support to us. Our fathers in the faith:   We say 'Thank You' to the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Rev. Dr. Sam & Rev. Mrs. Olabisi Aboyeji and other Foursquare Church leaders; to the General Overseer and Founder of the Word of Life Bible Church,  Papa Ayo Oritsejafor; to  Archbishop Goddowell Avwomakpa of Christ Missionaries Crusaders Church; as well as those from other ministries.

We will not forget to acknowledge the good people of Benikrukru community, most especially the chiefs and the executive leaders for their warm reception and show of love through the many support systems towards ensuring  befitting rites of farewell to our departed wife and mother. In addition, we recognise the executive leadership of Kenyangbene community for the assistance they rendered in this direction. To the Management, staff and cadets of the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, your  support was incredibly wonderful. God bless you all!

We wouldn't have been able to go the distance if you had not chosen to undertake the journey with us as brothers and sisters' keeper that you all are. You have indeed demonstrated love in action and we are short of words to express our appreciation other than to say 'Thank You'.

It is our fervent prayers that the Almighty God blesses each and everyone of you for your sacrifices and for giving us your company when most needed. By His mercies we pray we gather together for the purpose of celebrating life and achievements.

Please accept this Note of appreciation from us. God bless us all in Jesus name, Amen.

Signed:
REV. (DR.) EMMANUEL IMELEYE
