Burying a loved one is never an easy task. Asides the traumatic pain of loss, the bereaved hearts take time to heal. All the same, while our tears are yet to dry off, we nonetheless acknowledge the support we received that contributed to the successful burial of our youthful mother and grandmother, Mrs. Felicia Yerimini Jonathan Governor, at Azama community in Gbaramatu Kingdom on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

First, we thank the Almighty God for giving us the strength to do the needful, for availing us with the needed resources to give our departed mother a befitting burial, and for His protection during the course of the funeral ceremony.

Secondly, we appreciate everyone who accompanied us to Azama to pay our last respect and to lay our departed mother to eternal rest. We appreciate all those who sent in condolence messages and sympathised with us over the loss, who also contributed financially to the successful burial rites. We couldn't have done it without your good spirited support to us.

Thirdly, we appreciate the spiritual leadership and members of the Fruit of Life Prayer and Deliverance Ministry, Jeddo, as well as other ministers who comforted us with their prayers, counsels, and then oversee the conduct of the funeral service (Service of Songs and burial ceremonies).

We also thank the socialite organisation our departed mother was a member of—the Warri Beke Group of Friends, for rallying behind us in our time of need and comfort. You are indeed reliable friends and we are sure our mother will be proud of you all.

To the good people of Azama community comprising the chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, women and youths, we are grateful for your hospitality and support during the burial ceremony. Your company is duly appreciated as well as your support in ways beyond measure.

We pray the Almighty God bless you all for your sacrifices and good works. When next we gather again we pray it shall be for the celebration of life and not the shedding of tears, for happy moments and not sadness, for celebration of achievements and not bearing the burden of pain. 

God bless and protect us all in Jesus name, Amen.
