The Late Madam Egbivwie, who joined her ancestors on the 25th day in October 2023, could be said to have lived a long life, eliciting a celebration at her funeral. And that was the atmosphere at the Udurhie Primary School, Oghareki, Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, the venue of the entertainment.

According to her biography, the late Madam Egbivwie was born on the 10th of May 1893 into the families of Ikure in Ugbekw, Oghagba community, Oghara, and got married to Late Pa. Richard Eghivwie. They both lived as farmers in Ajagbadudu village before moving to Oghareki main town.

Described as an industrious trader and farmer, the late Mama Egbivwie, who was baptised at the First Baptist Church, would be fondly remembered for her quiet disposition and motherly care for her children and those around her.

The deceased is survived by three children (namely Mr. Egbivwie Solomon, Mr. Egbivwie Joseph, and Baby Egbivwie), 43 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, son in-law, daughter-in-law, including other relatives.

Earlier, precisely on Friday, March 29, a Service of Songs ceremony held in honour of the late Mama Egbivwie at the First Baptist Mission Lane off Ajagbodudu Road, Oghareki-Oghara.

The remains of the late Mama Egbivwie was committed to Mother Earth on Saturday morning after a brief stop over at the First Baptist Church Auditorium.

Mr. Ojuyaina described his late mother-in-law as a woman of esteemed character who led an exemplary life before her demise and showed love to all without any bias or discrimination.

According to him, he believes his mother-in-law lived such a long because of her good heart and godly life she exhibited during when she was alive.

Among some of the guests who accompanied Mr. Ojuyaina and his wife include his mother, Mrs. Ellen Ojuyaina, Chief Timothy Ojuyaina, Elder Jonah Ojuyaina, Mrs. Tina Orugbo, Mrs. Dora Mulade, Favour Gold, Ogaga Alegbe, and Pereke Warefa.
