LATE MADAM CAROLINE OKUKU GBENEWEI: Our Profound Note of Appreciation

30 Apr, 2024

To the glory of the Almighty Father in Heaven, we the family of late MADAM CAROLINE OKUKU GBENEWEI (Nee ZIBIMOGHAN), tender our profound note of thanks on the occasion of the successful funeral ceremony of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, whose service of songs and burial ceremony held on Monday, April 22, and on Thursday, April 25, 2024, respectively.

Firstly, we offer thanks to GOD ALMIGHTY whose grace and mercy saw us through the successful service of songs ceremony and the burial ceremony. In all, no incident or accident was recorded as everyone who attended returned home safely.

Secondly, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Sir (Chief) Clark Gbenewei (JP), father of Mrs Georgina Baadi and Mr Dan Gbenewei (Late Caroline Okuku's children) for his unwavering support during the most challenging times. His huge guidance, moral and financial support towards the success of the funeral was not just a gesture of kindness, but a testament of the incredible father he has remained to us. Amidst the grief, his selfless generosity provided a beacon of hope and comfort, as well as his steadfast presence which provided succour, solace and strength to navigate this difficult, but necessary undertaking. With heartfelt appreciation, we say may the Lord bless him many times over.

Thirdly, we appreciate the ministers from the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Ark of Peace Model Parish, Ugboroke in Warri, led by Pastor Raphael Ekundina, and the Holy Ghost Vineyard Zonal Headquarters Parish in Oporoza Town led by Pastor Augustine Omoaregba, for their support in giving our mother a befitting funeral. We are grateful.

Fourthly, we appreciate the elders, women, youths and other members of Oporoza Town for their warm hospitality and understanding during the course of the burial ceremony. Your turning out in large number boosted our lagging strength occasioned by the loss of our dear mother. We say THANK YOU.

Lastly, but not the least, we sincerely appreciate all family members and friends of the Gbenewei and Zibimoghan, including our in-laws. We say a BIG THANK YOU for your contributions and spirited efforts to honour our beloved mother.

It is our prayer that when we all meet again it shall be the celebration of achievements and not for tears in JESUS CHRIST name we pray, Amen.
