LATE HIGH CHIEF ARI: The Ari Family Hold Thanksgiving, Appreciate Supporters

The family of the Late High Chief Jonathan Gere Bakah Ari (JP), the Puwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, held a Thanksgiving Service in appreciation to the Almighty God for the successful funeral of the elder and leader who was laid to rest at his hometown Kokodiagbene community on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

The Thanksgiving which held at the Life Church of God Ministry in Warri, Delta State, on Sunday, November 26, had in attendance the wife of the late Puwei, Mrs. Golere Ari, a brother of the deceased, Rev. French Ari; the children and grandchildren, as well as other sympathisers.

Speaking on behalf of the family during the ceremony, Mrs. Ogisi Ebikeabore Ari, the eldest child of the late High Chief Ari, said God did it for the family by using others and even the Life Church of God Ministry to perfect everything.

She also use the opportunity to thank numerous supporters especially the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II JP (Aketekpe, Agadagba); High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), the Gbaramatu Traditional Council of Chiefs, and many others who rose to their needs and in giving their father a befitting burial.

Rev. Ari on his part said his late brother will be missed and challenged the children and grandchildren to emulate their late father's strides. He also thanked God that nothing was stolen or got missing, and also the church for their support during the funeral.

The General Overseer of the Life Church of God Ministry, Rev. Jethro Ayemobuwa, who tailored his sermon 'Something More Than Gold' recalled how the late High Chief inspired him by his dedication to serve God to the end even at his old age.

Rev. Ayemobuwa, on behalf of the church, expressed his appreciation to the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom particularly the leadership, for the warm reception they gave the church, and for also rising to their needs during the funeral of the late High Chief.

The late High Chief Ari departed the Earth to join his ancestors on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 84 years, and is acknowledged by many as a great leader who made impacts in service to humanity in his lifetime.
