Aspirant for the position of Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Kokodiagbene Youth Development Movement (KYDM), Comrade Emiko Tamaraetuwemi Michael, has formally declared his intention to contest for the office, unveiling a five-point agenda anchored on Communication, Transparency, Representation, Unity, and Development.

Comrade Emiko, in his declaration, said his aspiration is driven by a commitment to strengthen the relationship between the leadership and members of the movement while ensuring that the voices, aspirations, and concerns of Kokodiagbene youths are effectively represented.

Running with the campaign slogan, “Your Voice, My Voice, Our Community,” the PRO hopeful said the message reflects his belief that every member of KYDM has a stake in the progress of the youth body and the wider Kokodiagbene Community.

According to him, effective communication would be a major priority if elected, as he promised to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information concerning the programmes, decisions, activities, and achievements of the movement.

On transparency, Comrade Michael pledged to promote openness and honesty in communicating the affairs of KYDM, stressing that members deserve credible and accessible information from their leadership.

He also identified representation as a key responsibility of the PRO's office, promising to project the interests, challenges, aspirations, and achievements of Kokodiagbene youths within and beyond the community.

On unity, the aspirant said he would promote peace, inclusiveness, mutual respect, and cooperation among members, noting that the strength and progress of the movement depend largely on the ability of youths to work together in harmony.

Comrade Emiko further pledged to support development-oriented initiatives, particularly programmes that promote youth empowerment, education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, sports, and leadership development.

He maintained that the office of the Public Relations Officer should go beyond the issuance of statements, stressing that it should also serve as a bridge between the leadership and members while protecting and positively projecting the image of KYDM.

“I believe that together we can build a KYDM where everyone has a voice, where information flows freely, where leadership remains connected to the people, and where unity becomes the foundation for sustainable development,” he said.

Comrade Emiko appealed to members and delegates of the KYDM to support his aspiration and entrust him with the mandate to serve as Public Relations Officer, assuring them of committed, accessible, and people-focused representation.
