KOKODIAGBENE: Committees set up ahead funeral of Late Chief Capt. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu

A burial committee and subcommittees have been constituted toward ensuring the smooth and successful funeral ceremony of late Chief Capt. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu, a native of Kokodiagbene and Opuede communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West council area of Delta State, and the father in-law of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), High Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro.

This was contained in a notice released and signed by the Head of the Burial Planning Committee and the Chairman of the Burial Committee, Chief (Engr.) George Timiyan JP and Chief Bay D. Tobi, respectively.

While the main committee is made up of three members, those of the sub-committees consist of eight members that are tasked to play different roles in the ceremony.

The main committee members are Chief Bay  D. Tobi (Chairman), Gabriel Ukuli (Secretary) and Hope Akpodubakaye  (Treasurer).

The sub-committee members are Johnson Powede (Communication), Ekpetipu Philip (Media & Publications), Godfrey T. Bifugha (Transport), David Fellow Adurumokumo (Security), Pedro Bekenawei (Drinks), Hope Akpodubakaye and Dcn Ati Omovo (Food, Gifts & Souvenirs) and Turma Ebikeme (Bottle / Sachet Water).

It was also disclosed that 40 ushers (service girls) will be in attendance to ensure decorum of the ceremony.

The late Chief Capt. Felix Bebekemiaye Adurumokumo Ekpetipu who passed away at the age of 82 years is to be laid to rest in Ebiabo Quarter, Kokodiagbene community, on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
