In recognition of their numerous contributions to the development and growth of Kenebra Quarter in Oporoza community, Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West council area of Delta State, the quartet of High Chief Isaac Gbabo, Chief Johnbull Demebi, Chief Morris Tebela, and Hon. Alaowei Moses Zibinmoghan, have been honoured with Awards of Excellence and Appreciation by the people of the quarter.

The awards of honour were presented by the Executive Chairman of Oporoza community and the Chairman of all Chairmen in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Hon. Godwin Febaide, popularly known as Agbadu, at the New Year party event organised by Kenebra Quarter, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.

Chief Gbabo, the Ugbodiwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and the Bolouwei of Kenebra Quarter, was honoured with an Award of Excellence for his "fatherly love, care, support" and for his roles in “unifying the people” of the Quarter.

Chief Demebi, the Amadiwei of Oporoza community and a former chairman, was honoured with an Award of Appreciation for his "philanthropic and leadership acts to the people of Kenebra Quarter and Oporoza community" at large.

Chief Tebela, the Amadiwei of Oporoza community, was also honoured with an Award of Appreciation for his "unwavering support and unrelenting guidance" that were instrumental to the success of the executive leadership of Kenebra Quarter.

Lastly, Hon. Zibinmoghan, the Executive Chairman of Kenebra Quarter, was honoured with an Award of Appreciation for his "commitment and dedicated service towards the growth of Kenebra Quarter".

Speaking on the purpose of the award presentation, the chairman of Kenebra Quarter and host of the New Year party, Hon. Zibinmoghan stated that the awards were aimed at appreciating the recipients for their dedication to the growth of the quarter, and that the honour is to help spur others to emulate their exemplary and practical leadership that they have demonstrated, both in the affairs of the Kenebra Quarter and in Oporoza community at large.

Hon. Zibinmoghan also used the opportunity to call on all sons and daughters of Kenebra Quarter as well as the people of Oporoza community who are occupying leadership positions to be dedicated through their service to the people without only bearing the name of leader as title.
