IYC: Ex-NAGS President Comr. Timiyan Hails Kokodiagbene Youths' Participation in Youth Activism

Ex-president of the National Association of Gbaramatu Students (NAGS), Comr. Timiyan Doubra, has hailed the youths of Kokodiagbene community for their active participation in youth activism in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West council area of Delta State, as registered by their growing presence in the leadership of the Gbaramatu Kingdom structure of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.

Comr. Timiyan gave the commendation on Friday, March 22, in reaction to a 12-member selected leadership of the IYC Gbaramatu Kingdom that recently emerged, among them three are from the Kokodiagbene community.

Recall that members of the IYC Gbaramatu Kingdom chapter held its Congress at the Casa De Pedro Annex in Effurun on Wednesday, March 20, where a new executive leadership unanimously emerged, chaired by Comr. Oyinkuro Wazo Zikurebai, a former secretary of the youth body.

The three representatives from Kokodiagbene community in the IYC Gbaramatu Kingdom leadership are: Comr. Prosper Eguare (Vice Chairman), Comr. John Ukuli (Mobilisation Officer), and Comr. Ebimotimi Ephraim Ari (Information Officer).

According to the ex-NAGS President, the presence of Kokodiagbene youths and their zeal to participate in the IYC Gbaramatu Kingdom is such that should be commended.

While he also commented the President of the Kokodiagbene Youth, Comr. Laide Blessing, for mobilising the youths, Comr. Timiyan charged the Kokodiagbene representatives to make good use of the opportunity the IYC offers them.

In his words, "I urge the reps from Kokodiagbene community as well as all other executive members to make good use of this opportunity and get the best out of it.

"I am also calling on the youths of other communities to also key into the privileges and task like this in order to better the likes of youths in the kingdom.

"I am also commending the youth president of Kokodiagbene community, Comr. Laide Blessing, for his contributions to this success," he added.
