Highlife musician and the Paddle of Niger Delta, Chief Barrister Smooth, will be performing live at the inauguration ceremony of the Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF) billed for February 29, 2024, at the Chief Tunde Smooth's Playground in Warri-Sapele Road, Warri, Delta State.

This was disclosed by the body of Ijaw media practitioners making up the IPF ahead of the Forum's maiden inauguration that is to be attended by prominent Ijaw big weights in the Niger Delta region.

The music maestro will thrill guests at the event as part of the series of activities lined up during the inaugural ceremony.

It was gathered that during the inauguration, IPF would equally take a position against what it describes as “conspiracy and criminalization of the Ijaw and Niger Delta struggle for emancipation and resource control by non-indigenous media.”

The Forum also slammed foreign medias for throwing objectivity to the wind in the event of Niger Delta confrontation against suppression, marginalisation, balkanization and internal slavery.

According to the Forum, it would put serious check to such conspiracy deliberately orchestrated to frustrate Ijaw and Niger Delta freedom by such foreign medias and other external stakeholders.
