A business and community leader, political scientist, philanthropist as well as security expert, Chief Simeon Bebenimibo, has mooted that the appointment of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo as Nigeria's defense minister by the Federal Government will ultimately be the end of insecurity in the country.

Chief Bebenimibo, who is the GMD/CEO of Bibobobra Global Resources Limited, GMD of OML 42 Surveillance Services, and the MD, Simbra Hotels and Suites, made the call in Warri, on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Citing the landmark achievements of Tompolo's Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) in safeguarding national oil and gas infrastructures in the country, Bebenimibo stated that the Tantita Boss can replicate same feat if tasked with dealing with the issue of insecurity in the country, which of recent, had drawn international attention.

He firmly believes that Tompolo has the requisite years of experience to take on such monumental task as proven in his track records in the oil and gas sector, which time past had defied the Federal Government and the industry's proposed solutions to curbing the menace of oil theft, pipeline vandalism and incessant pollution in the region, until the Tantita's Boss stepped in.

"The day the Federal Government of Nigeria realise and appoint High Chief Government Ekpemupolo A.K.A Tompolo, as the country's defense minister, is the day the issue of insecurity in this country will come to an end," Bebenimibo affirmed.

"Nigeria was losing huge revenue from oil theft until Tompolo stepped in. It is on record that since Tantita came on board, there has been a reported increase in the country's oil production from below 1 million barrels per day to over 1.8 million million barrels per day, which has led to a reduction in oil losses by over 90 percent that resulted positively to an estimated $8 billion in revenue recovery annually," he claimed.

Speaking further, he added, "Tompolo's contributions to rescuing this country cannot be overemphasized. It is clearly evident as Tantita, piloted by our Boss, has earned accolades of awards in recognition of the extraordinary feat in savaging the ugly situation overtime.

"So, imagine what would happen if such a leader is given the responsibility of securing this country? We all should know that security is serious business and it requires someone who possesses integrity and has clarity of vision above the average mindset, to deliver."

Bebenimibo also hailed Tompolo who through Tantita has made significant contributions in not only safeguarding the oil and gas industry, but through Tantita has created job opportunities through direct engagement of countless unemployed youths, the empowering of the less privilege in society, and also in redefining corporate social responsibility via its interventions with community projects across the region.

"Insecurity should never be politicised because it is everybody's enemy. Tompolo is the man and the established records speak loud to anyone in doubt. If you talk of those with patriotism, Tompolo is among such citizens who has continued to practically demonstrate that whenever he is called upon," he charged.
