INAUGURATION: Kokodiagbene to Swear-in New Executive Leadership Jan. 13, Invites General Public

The people of oil-rich Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, are set to swear-in their elected executive council members in an inauguration ceremony in the community billed for Monday, January 13, 2025.

This is contained in a special invitation notice made available and released to the public by the Chairman and Secretary of the Swearing-in/Inauguration Planning Committee, Chief George Timiyan (JP) and Comr. Jackson Timiyan, respectively.

The elected executive members to be sworn in are Comr. Ark Selegha (Chairman), Paul Diwere (Vice Chairman), Gabriel Ukuli (Secretary), Engr. Johnson Powede (Public Relations Officer), Nani Mala (Financial Secretary), Maxwell Obode (Assistant Financial Secretary), John Arukarawei (Assistant Secretary), Tima Igedo (Treasurer) and Jerry Ari (Provost).

As contained in the invitation, the Pere of the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba is the Royal Father of the Day; High Chief Dr Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo is the Father of the Day, and Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Imeleye Ph.D is the Spiritual Father of the ceremony, which is under the distinguished chairmanship of the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Amb. Dr. Godspower Gbenekama (JP), and chairlady, Chief (Mrs.) Ebimoboere Otuaro.

Special Guest of Honour is the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor; while other Guests of Honour include the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dr. Dennis Otuaro; the MD of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi; the Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Delta State, Hon. Godknows Angele; the Executive Director, Social Services in the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Chief (Hon.) Favour Izoukumor; and the member representing Ijaw Ethnic Nationality in DESOPADEC, Hon. Spencer Okpoye.

Others are the MD/CEO of OCI Hotel and Suites, Comr. Amb. City Ojowuro; High Chief Julius Tonfawei, Chief Johnbull Demebi, Chief Sheriff Mulade, Chief (Hon.) Anthony Ayebibode, Chief Samuel Timiyan, Engr. Jimmy Ogida, Mr. Sunday Omuze, Hon. Powede Uyadonghan, Engr. Peter Ekpetipu, Mr. Momodu (Area Manager, Chevron Nigeria Limited), Mr. Amos Okoro, Dcns Mrs Preye Keniye, among several guests.

According to the chairman of the planning committee, boats to convey guests to and fro the venue will be available at the popular Newman (King Couple) jetty near NPA, Warri, by 7:00am on Monday morning.

The ceremony hosted by the outgoing chairman, Comr. Pedro Bekenawei, is billed for 10:00am in Kokodiagbene Playground and will feature musical entertainment from Ijaw highlife musician, Isaba Abraham and his musical band.
