INAUGURATION: Godwin Febaide-Led Oporoza Executive Council for Swearing-In January 2nd
The riverine community of Oporoza, headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, is set to experience a new phase of leadership as its newly elected executive council members, led by Mr. Godwin Febaide as Chairman, will be inaugurated on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Other members of the executive council include: Comr Tamarakuro Tonfawei (Vice Chairman), Mr Lemon Ebikoro (Secretary), Comr. Saturday David (Public Relations Officer), Miss Peremoboere Igelemo (Assistant Secretary).
Others are: Mr. Inaidou Thompson (Publicity Secretary), Comr. Amami Tolumona (Financial Secretary), Miss Kosene Maria (Assistant Financial Secretary), Capt. John Youghawei (Treasurer) and Mr. Gbanale Bakumo (Welfare Officer).
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to hold in Oporoza community at 12noon prompt with community elders, women, youths as well as other guests expected to witness the ceremony.
It would be recalled that the Apst. Amb. Labort Tonfawei-led executive council, predecessor to the Febaide-led exco, bowed out of office on the completion of its tenure sometime in November 2023, paving the way for the selection and inauguration of the latter.
Mr. Febaide was formerly a youth president of Oporoza community and also served as vice president of the umbrella body of youths in Gbaramatu Kingdom, the Gbaramatu Youth Development Association, popularly known as Gbaramatu Youth Council, GYC.
