The Ijaw Publishers Forum, IPF, an umbrella body of Ijaw publishers in the Niger Delta region, is set to conduct its first ever election for members vying to occupy executive leadership positions in the Forum on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

This was contained in the electoral guideline released by the IPF's Electoral Committee on Tuesday, December 12. 

According to the guideline that was signed by its chairman, Arex Akemotubo; Secretary, Preye Ekpegha; and Treasurer, Emmanuel Keneware; the screening of aspirants vying to occupy executive offices will be conducted December 17, 2023.

According to the Electoral Committee: "The list of eligible and successful candidates vying for various positions will be published December 18, 2023.

"There will be a designated time for candidates to present their manifesto, and the date for this will be communicated in due course. 

"The sale of forms begins on December 12 and ends December 16, 2023," the guideline stated.
