IGOBA: Delta riverine community chairman tasks indigenes on devt, thanks stakeholders

The executive chairman of Igoba Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Apst. Teibowei Gift, has echoed the need for sons and daughters of the creek community to join hands together towards its development and growth.
Apst. Teibowei, who recently inaugurated a set of members for the Igoba Town Planning Committee, appreciated the role played by a prominent leader, High Chief Anthony Ayebibode, the Torupuwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, "in the establishment of the planning committee."
The executive chairman also thanked other stakeholders in the kingdom, notably the Pere of the ancient kingdom, HRM Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba; Niger Delta leader, High Chief Dr Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo; the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor; the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Kestin Pondi; the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dennis Otuaro Ph.D, among other prominent sons and daughters.
"To facilitate our development we inaugurated the Igoba Town Planning Committee comprising of Chief Friday Bobo as Chairman, Endurance Uttoh as Secretary, Pst. Saint Ogo, Gen. Naiye Dude, Boan. John Oru, and Blessing Akpoko as members.
"However, development is not a one man job but one that requires everyone's input. As the saying goes, there is no place like home. If we don't play our part, how will the community develop and grow?
"I am therefore appealing to all sons and daughters of Igoba Federated Community to make input towards the development and growth of our community, to join hands with the committee community leadership to achieve that goal.
"I also want to thank the Torupuwei, High Chief Anthony Ayebibode for the establishment of the planning committee and also for his physical contributions toward the development of Igoba.
"Of course, our father, His Majesty, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP). Our leader High Chief Government Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo, the honourable speaker in Delta House Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, the MD of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Kestin Pondi, and our dear brother, High Chief Dennis Otuaro, to mention a few, have demonstrated the role of participation in community and kingdom development.
"They are leading examples that all well-meaning sons and daughters in the kingdom and in the community should emulate," he added.
The Chairman further stated that with the establishment of the planning committee they are confident that Igoba is set to experience a turn around in Infrastructural and other positive developments.
