HONOUR: Benikrukru Community Gifts Ama-Okosuwei Multimillionaire New Home

For Pa. Onimiemene Kwekwewei, who currently holds the prestigious position of the Ama-Okosuwei of Benikrukru Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom of Delta State, the date, Friday, October 10, 2025, will forever be a memorable day in his life and those of his households, as the oldest man was gifted a newly furnished multimillionaire home by the community's leadership.

Among leaders of the community that witnessed the historic handover of the new home to the Ama-Okosuwei are the Executive Chairman, Comrade Joel Tonjoh alongside members of his exco; the Kurowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief (Amb.) Jeffrey Ojogun; Engr. Jimmy Ogida, Engr. Michael Tonlagha; woman leader Madam Funmilayo Okoro,  Dcn. Isaiah Gbenekama, Apst. Roland Ojogun, Pst. Blessing Tortor, and sundry others.

The three-bedroom apartment, according to the Kurowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Chief Jeffrey Ojogun, is deemed a befitting gift in honour to the aged father and to offer him more comfort in his old age.

Earlier in the day, members of Benikrukru community flocked to the old home of Pa. Kwekwewei, and kicked-off the transition to his new home by clothing him in new traditional apparels before the crowd proceeded to escort the aged father to his new palatial residence.

The ceremony, which was marked with entertainment and an official handover presentation by the community chairman, wrapped up with prayers and group photograph session by those in attendance with the Ama-Okosuwei in the sitting room section of his new home.

The surprised aged father and Ama-Okosuwei, who was short of words, expressed his gratitude to members of the community through prayers as he prayed for more blessings from above on the sponsor and the community.

While the new home was presented as a gift from the community, it was however learnt that it was a product of a particular influential individual whose philanthropic works and contributions is reshaping the development of modern-day Benikrukru community.

May the blessing of Exodus 20:12 (NLT), “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you", be the golden portion of the sponsor and the good people of Benikrukru community for remembering the aged and weak.
