We, the Tere descendants of Kurutie town in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West constituency of Delta State, add our voices to the deluge of CONGRATULATIONS being poured on a great son cum leader in our kingdom and in the Niger Delta region at large, High Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degree on his personality by the prestigious institution, the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, during its convocation ceremony that held on November 25, 2023.

Tompolo, through his many sacrifices, first honoured his people and as such is reaping that which he has sown. This is a lesson to our leaders in the region that true honour is not bought by riches but earned through dedication, discipline and the fear of God. 

We celebrate with him such excellence that is only bestowed upon those who have made significant impacts in the lives of humanity, and once again congratulate the Ibe Ebidouwei of Izon Nation on this laudable achievement which we are confident will spur the High Chief to not relent but to do much more as we pray for more honours upon his life.
