As the Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) Worldwide preps up for its forthcoming election, a youth aspirant Mr. Egbejule Kingsley has declared his interest to vie for the position of president in the umbrella body of youths in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

Mr. Egbejule made this known when he purchsed the GYC Interest Form as a presidential aspirant from the GYC Electoral Committee on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

Recall that the GYC Electoral Committee chaired by Mayor Ipopo Present, with Comr. Joshua Otuaro as secretary had released the GYC Aspirant's Interest Form Schedule on Tuesday with call on aspirants to purchase their forms for the desired positions they are aspiring for.

According to the schedule, 10 positions were spread across five zones with each zone allocated two positions. The zones and positions are Zone 1: Oporoza (General Secretary and Asst. Chief Organiser), Zone 2: Azama (Vice President and Financial Secretary), Zone 3: Kunukunuma (President and Director of Socials), Zone 4: Okerenkoko (Treasurer and Chief Organiser), and Zone 5: Kokodiagbene (Public Relations Officer and Asst. Secretary).

According to Mr. Egbejule, who is from the Kunukunuma Zone, said that the call to serve the youths of the kingdom was not a personal one but a decision that was fueled by the clamour from various stakeholders for him to lead the youth body going by his antecedents.

Mr. Egbejule, who is the chairman of Gbaramatu Educational Support Forum (GESUF), also revealed that among his agenda, if elected as youth president of GYC, he would focus on human capacity development of the youths and push for the growth of education in the kingdom.

On his expectation ahead of the election, the presidential aspirant who was joined by his massive team of supporters that accompanied him to purchase his interest form said, "With the little past records I have built over the years, I believe people know my worth."
