August 11th to 13th, 2023, have come and gone, but they will not be forgotten so soon in the lives of the Sukunu and Ukuli families, as these days marked the funeral ceremony and burial of our dearly beloved golden mother, grandmother and great grandmother, LATE MAMA POWER TAMARAKURO SUKUNU NEE UKULI, who passed unto eternal glory on the 26th of July 2023 at 98 years old. 

On behalf of the Sukunu and Ukuli families, I, HON. AKPODIKUMOR OTURUBO, hereby tender my deepest appreciation, first, to the Almighty God, who gives and takes, for His overall protection on everyone that took part as no accident was recorded during the burial ceremony of our late golden mother, grandmother and great grandmother in Benikrukru and Kokodiagbene communities. 

Secondly, while the Almighty God made everything possible for us, however, we are also grateful to those who supported us through their financial contributions, counsel, prayers, and in other areas of capacity. May God replenish you all for coming through for us in Jesus name, Amen. 

Thirdly, we appreciate the leadership and good people of both Benikrukru and Kokodiagbene communities for the warm reception as well as for coming out en masse to console us as we lay our golden mother, grandmother and great grandmother to rest. Indeed, the love shown to us is commendable and the hospitality is unprecedented. May God bless you all beyond measures. 

Fourthly, we are also grateful to friends, associates and well-wishers who turned out in their large numbers to honour our departed golden mother at the funeral. We thank you for making out time from their busy schedules to join us, even expending resources toward that purpose. May God reward you all abundantly for your encouragement and love. 

Lastly, to all family members, thank you for the unity of purpose and for putting heads together to give our departed mother, grandmother and great grandmother a befitting burial. May our next gathering be for the celebration of life and not death, in Jesus name, Amen!
