The Managing Director of the foremost security firm in the Niger Delta region, the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, TSSNL, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi, has doled out N5 million each to 38 business brands spread across the country in fulfillment of his resolve to empower entrepreneurs as part of the celebration of his birthday on February 4, 2025.

The various beneficiaries of the business grant, which is aimed at boosting their brand's operations, were presented with their cheques by the Tantita's MD after the screening exercise that held at the MBB Hall by Klass Motors in Effurun on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

Pondi, who was accompanied by the Executive Director of Finance in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Oghenekome Okpobor; the chairman of Delta State Land and Waterway Security, Chief Boro Opudu; Sir Sylva Ofugara and Dr. Uche Ufukor, charged the beneficiaries to judiciously utilise the funds to advance their trades.

The brands that benefitted are, A Million Foodmart, Abdulrahman Couture, Amaezan Hub & Creations, Autotive Engineering & Innovations, Ayakoro Gbeinbo Ventures, Bennudoh Merchandise & Trading Company, Bubbee Logistics, Cleaner Janitor, Erewor by Preye, Godorra Hub Training, GT’s Place, Lucky Abolo Oil Production, M & E Cake & Cuisine, Marve White Records, Navid Star School, PPG Farms, Risurge Digitals, Sweet Smokey Grills.

Others are Twins Nursing & Maternity Home, Zitu Clothing, ASO Rock Block Industry, Bethwei Beauty Luxe, CPEL - Cedar Plus Logistics Company, Databasics Hub, Everything Kara, Fadda Faddaz Apparel, Foodies Game, Friday Akposeye Chemist Store, Great Minds in Tech Foundation, Havilah’s Hair Haven, Jijiklins, Laundrycity, Leolish Artistry, M&E Foods, Onomzklick, Planet Power International Limited, Ricky Car Care, and Tam Delichops.

Speaking on the development, the Chairman of the Kestin Pondi Business Grant screening committee, Mr. Victor Isereke, who is also the chairman of Veekites Group of Companies, revealed that out of the more than 9,000 submissions, only 40 were selected for further screening with 20 to emerge as winners. He however said that out of the 40 invited, three were absent while one beneficiary who was sent an email by error, were all awarded the grant, by the magnanimity of the sponsor.

He said,"First of all, I want to appreciate the sponsor for giving me and my team, the opportunity to review the process. I congratulate everyone that emerged successful, especially those that were also deserving, but because of the fact that we are supposed to pick just 20, we left them out. But, by the grace of God, through the magnanimity of the sponsor, they all emerged winners. I'm so elated.

"Also, my advise to everyone that won is that this money is not to go and party, but to use it for the purpose it is being provided for," he added 

Other members of the committee are Victory Ighelogbo, a life strategist and business development expert; Blessing Akhigbe, a certified business development expert; Tare Magbei, MD/CEO of Daily Report Nigeria; Illomah Efe, entrepreneur and business development strategist; Ogbonna Gideon Sopuruchukwu, an experienced IT specialist and entrepreneur; Barry Chukwuemeka (Barry Wonder), seasoned leadership and management resource person; Dr. Segun Manuel, Global Speaker, Author and Trainee; Ibrahim Odugbemi, a professional, excellent skills developer and media expert; Godswill Doubra Wuruyai, Conflict and Peace Strategist.

Some of the beneficiaries during the award ceremony were caught up in emotions with some shedding tears of joy as they were each called on stage to pick up their N5 million cheque, while others were just speechless but excited.

They appreciated the Tantita MD for staying true to his words and for encouraging them in their businesses, pledging to make judicious use of the funds.
