GRADUATION: A Dream Come True as Dcns. Mrs. Margaret Erike Graduates From Prestigious ANFCBII Bible Institute
It was a dream come true for Mrs. Margaret Erike, mother of the General Secretary of Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Comr. Raphael Erike, as she joined other graduating ministers at the Church of God Mission Int'l (CGMI) for the 36th Graduation Ceremony of the All Nations For Christ Bible Institute International (ANFCBII).
The graduation ceremony held at the CGMI branch in Praise Center along Jakpa Road in Effurun, Delta State, on Saturday December 14, 2024.
Speaking on his mother's recent achievement, Comr. Erike, while sharing his testimony of her mother's zeal for ministry with PENGlobal Lifestyle, congratulated her for staying the course in the two year programme despite challenges along the way.
"My mother has always been talking about how she wanted to become a pastor; she wanted to go to the School of Theology. It has been a pain in her heart to do this. When she bought the form that she wanted to go for ordination I was surprised. It's her passion. So today, I'm so happy that she has been able to complete her lifelong dream,. Congratulations to my dear mother," he added.
Her first daughter, Mrs. Rita Febaide, chipped in, "She is a God-fearing woman; she is a beautiful woman, very young and vibrant. I'm so proud of my mother, Deaconess Margaret Erike."
She then went on to vividly capture her mother's journey to Christianity and the role her mother played in the spiritual life of her children.
"When she got repented, she introduced Christ into her children and she took us to Church of God Mission. There we converted and fellowship with her. Whenever I am depressed or whenever I'm confused, I meet her and explain to her, she will pray with me. When you complain anything to her, she will always tell you to leave it for God; God will take control. And really, God will take control," she confessed.
One of her grandchild, Miss Chelsea, expressed her delight at her grandmother's achievement despite her aged status.
She said in admiration, "My grandma just graduated from Bible school and i'm very very proud of her, i'm so so inspired. Despite her age she still went ahead to achieve her dream and i'm very very proud and and happy for her well."
The celebration for the Erike family continued at the residence of their mother, who hosted families, friends and other well-wishers to a get-together ceremony in appreciation and gratitude to God for the latest achievement.
While attributing her achievement to God, she thanked family members, friends and other well-wishers for the support she received to undertake her life's dream to serve God as a servant in the Lord.
With the graduation ceremony concluded, Dcns Margaret Erike is now to be addressed officially as a Pastor under the CGMI Ministry.
