#GPD2024: GICF to hold 3-day Gbaramatu Prayer Day, invites general public
The 2024 edition of the Gbaramatu Prayer Day, organised by the Gbaramatu Interdenominational Christian Fellowship, GICF, the umbrella body of Christians in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, is set to hold in Oporoza Town, headquarters of the riverine kingdom, from Friday, October 11, 2024 to Sunday, October 13, 2024.
This is contained in a programme schedule for the Gbaramatu Prayer Day released by the GICF and that was signed by its chairman, Pst. Samuel Tamaramiesinde Ukuli, and vice chairman, Apst. Mathias Zion Amaye.
The 2024 edition, which has as its theme 'Wind of Revival', will have in attendance ministers and other dignitaries, with His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, as the traditional father of the day.
Special guests of honour expected in this year's edition are High Chief Amb. Dr. Godspower T.D.A. Gbenekama (JP), the Fiyewei of Gbaramatu Kingdom; High Chief Snr. Boan. Amb. Dr. Nelson Ogelegbanwei (JP), Chairman, Gbaramatu Zonal Board of Conference; His Excellency, Dcn. Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, former deputy governor of Delta State; Mr Matthew Tonlagha, Managing Director, Maton Nigeria Limited; and Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly.
Guest speakers are His Lordship, Bishop Dr. Amb. Godwyns Soroaye (JP); Rev. Dr. Prt. Samuel Brobor (JP) AKA High Tension Commander; Bishop-elect, Rev. Dr. Francis P. Diawei (JP); Dr. Elekute Macaulay, Chairman, Ijaw Christian Forum (ICF), Gbaramatu Chapter; Hon. Beauty Warejuowei, Director, Women Wing, GICF.
According to the programme schedule, on Friday, October 11, 10am to 2pm is arrival and registration of guests, while group seminars hold from 2pm to 4pm, followed by a rally and crusade by 5pm.
On Saturday, October 12, devotion and prayers begins 6am to 9am, Seminar / Questions and Answer session holds 12noon to 3pm; while rally holds 4pm followed by crusade 5pm.
The programme wraps up on Sunday, October 13, with a Thanksgiving Service for the Gbaramatu Prayer Day by 10am.
Speaking on the programme, the GICF chairman, Pst. Ukuli further revealed that there will be free boats which will depart the Newman Jetty at NPA by 7am.
"Something great is about to happen. You can't afford to miss it. Prepare and plan to make sure you and your entire family attend. God will bless you as you do so," he added.
