The Orubu Family in Opuede Federated Community in the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has produced the first Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology in the coastal kingdom.

According to Chief (Elder) James Orubu, who made the disclosure in a message to PENGlobal Community, announced the feat achieved by his son, Professor Ebiowei Orubu, on his recent graduation from the University of London.

The message reads, "We are happy to announce that the kingdom has added one more professor to the kingdom’s list of professors.

"He is Professor Ebiowei Orubu of Bayelsa Medical University, Yenagoa; Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, (PhD) University of London.

"The first Professor of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology in the kingdom, to God be the glory."

According to Google search, "Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology is the core pharmacy discipline focused on designing, developing, and manufacturing drug dosage forms (tablets, injections, creams) to ensure safety, efficacy, and stability."

With this achievement, the ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom, an Ijaw kingdom, is fast making progress in the academic space as its list of professors is fast growing.
