GBARAMATU: IYC releases list of 142 successful JAMB applicants for screening Feb. 1
The Comrade Wazo Oyinkuro Zikurebai-led Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Gbaramatu Clan in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has released the names of 142 applicants that applied for its free Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration forms as part of its Supplementary Educational Support Scheme.
The youth body, which also announced its bursary scheme that is coming up in the later part of the year for students in tertiary institutions, made this known in a statement it officially released on Friday, January 31, 2025.
According to the IYC Gbaramatu Clan Chairman, all successful applicants are to converged for screening at the office of the defunct Egbema Gbaramatu Communities Development Foundation's (EGCDF) along Airport Road in Effurun on Saturday, February 1, 2025, by 7:30am.
The full statement reads: "We are thrilled to congratulate you on being shortlisted for our Free JAMB initiative, which is part of the Supplementary Educational Support Scheme for Tertiary students in the Gbaramatu Kingdom.
"Your hard work, determination, and commitment to your education have truly paid off, and we are delighted to celebrate this wonderful achievement with you. You are now one step closer to realizing your academic dreams, and we are especially excited about the opportunity to support you.
"As we have stated previously, this initiative is not a cherry scheme; it is a pathway to your future. We believe in your potential to excel in the upcoming exams. For those who were unable to register this time, please remember that this is not the end of your journey. We encourage you to keep pursuing your goals and to explore other opportunities within the scheme, such as the bursary program, which will be available later this year. Your dreams are still within reach, and we are here to support you every step of the way.

Recall that the Gbaramatu IYC had earlier announced the launch of its Supplementary Educational Support Scheme for those undertaking JAMB and for tertiary students across the kingdom, on January 16, 2025.
