GBARAMATU: GYC Parliament Inaugurates Principal Officers

The Gbaramatu Youth Council (GYC) Mobile Parliament, in line with the Constitution guiding the umbrella body of youths in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has inaugurated its principal key officers to lead members of the Parliament.

The inauguration ceremony held at the J-Climax Int'l Suites and Hotel in the Effurun axis of the state on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

The principal officers who were inaugurated on Saturday are Comr. Doubra Timiyan (Speaker), Comr. Paul Odiki (Deputy Speaker), Comr. Ubebe Kester Denyefa (Clerk), Comr. Vera Dekawei (Deputy Clerk) and Michael Ejoh (Chief Whip).

It would be recalled that the GYC Mobile Parliament members, numbering twenty in all, were elected at Congress on Wednesday, January 24, 2025. with four members drawn from the five zones making up the kingdom.

The full list of Parliamentarians previously elected from each zone are Kester Ubebe, Roland Mala, Ubebe Stephen Arerepade, Sunday Faraju (Oporoza Zone A); Franklin Ikpidi, Michael Ejoh, Mieyentiegha Destiny, Eric Agbasa (Azama Zone B).

Others are Okoritse Stanley, James Ebiororo, Nebragho Shadrach Etimiodimene, Ebisinde Ozuke Samuel (Kunukunuma Zone C); Erebu Tonbra Dennis, Odiki Paul, Godday Tamar Seide, Vera Dekawei (Okerenkoko Zone D), and Obey Maxwell Douglas, Christian Okito, Doubra Timiyan (Speaker), Doutimi Cousin (Benikrukru / Kokodiagbene Zone E).
