GBARAMATU: Chief Ari Will Be Greatly Missed — Ereyitomi Eulogises Late Puwei
The member representing Warri North, Warri South and Warri South-West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, has said that the late Puwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom from the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Chief Jonathan Gere Bakah Ari (JP) will be greatly missed by all, having "lived an exemplary life dedicated to the service of humanity."
The lawmaker and house member, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation Technology, made the remark in a condolence message the lawmaker sent on Monday, November 13, 2023, to the bereaved family of the late Puwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom.
Rt. Hon. Ereyitomi in his message said the late Chief Ari's death came to him "as a rude shock" and prayed the family be comforted as the prominent chief will not only be missed by his family but by the entire Kokodiagbene community, Gbaramatu Kingdom and Deltans at large.
The lawmaker wrote, "He (Chief J.G.B Ari) is a repertoire of wisdom and humility and was always willing to provide fatherly guidance to those who came across him.
"Late Chief J.G.B will be greatly missed not just by his immediate family, Kokodiagbene community and Gbaramatu Kingdom, but also by the entirety of our great Constituency and by extension, Delta State, as he was a champion of peace and community development.
"My thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family, Kokodiagbene community and Gbaramatu Kingdom in this time of grief.
"May the soul of late Chief J.G.B Ari find rest in the bossom of the Lord," he prayed.
The late Chief J.G.B Ari joined his ancestors on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. While a service of songs ceremony holds in his private residence on Tuesday, November 14 in Warri, his remains will be committed to Mother Earth on Saturday, November 18 after a social wake-keep ceremony on Friday in his hometown, Kokodiagbene community, in Gbaramatu Kingdom.
