GBARAMATU: Be efficient, ready to do more — Aketekpe charges Oporoza youth, women exco
A first class monarch in the Niger Delta region, His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe Agadagba, has charged the newly elected youth and women executives of Oporoza community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, to be efficient in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities as well as take it as a challenge upon themselves to exceed the achievements of their predecessors in office while contributing their quota to the development of the community.
The charge was given by His Majesty when the Pere received both the women and the youth exco members in a joint familiarisation visit at the traditional palace in the headquarters of the kingdom, on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
Among the Oporoza youth executives are Comr. Demotiede Zibimoghan, President; Comr. Ibeidiwei Kosenen, Vice President; Comr. Sunday Amami, Secretary; Comr. Pina Ogrenfa, Public Relations Officer; Comr. Timiebi Ekpokeme, Financial Secretary; Comr. Queen Miebi, Treasurer; Comr. Jackson Lemon, Assistant Financial Secretary; Hon. Zide Roman, Assistant Secretary; and Comr. Samuel Anderson, Organizer.
Among the Oporoza women executives are Mrs. Medina Lemon, Chairlady; Comr. Better Uroju, Vice Chairlady; Mrs Queen David, Secretary; Mrs Esther Okoro, Public Relations Officer; Mrs Ovovor Patricia, Financial Secretary; Mrs Timi Aluwe, Assistant Financial Secretary; Mrs Stella Polo, Treasurer; and Mrs Hope Dedei, Welfare.
Speaking to PENGlobal Community on the purpose of the visit to His Majesty, the Oporoza youth president, Comr. Zibimoghan, said the familiarisation visit by both members of the community executives was aimed at introducing the exco members of both bodies, who were recently elected, to their king, as well as to seek for prayers of blessings inorder for them to succeed.
"His Majesty is our traditional and spiritual father. And so it is befitting that our Pere knows us as his children and supports us. Hence we have come to not only intimate His Majesty on this new set of executives, but to also receive prayers of blessings from our father so as to succeed in the tasks ahead.
"His Majesty, in his fatherly wisdom, advised that we should make sure we work in unity, efficiently and effectively so that we can we can do more than what the outgone excos, our predecessors, had already done."
Speaking further, Comr. Zibimoghan, on behalf of the excos thanked Aketekpe for His Majesty's warm reception and offer of blessings on them, while he promised that they will not disappoint the royal father.
