Azama Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, is set for the second edition of its annual Amasuo-Ugeh under the lordship of HRM Oboro Gbaraun II JP (Aketekpe, Agadagba) as the Royal Father of the Day, to be hosted by the Fiyewei, High Chief Dr. Godspower Gbenekama (JP), and the Digbolomowei, Chief (Barr.) Bosin Ebikeme, as chief hosts, on Monday, December 30, 2024.

This is contained in the official invitation that was released by the host chairman of the community, Comr. Arthur Gbenekama, and the Planning Committee Chairman, Chief Matthew Pudie.

The ceremony which begins 11am and feature various cultural activities with music to be supplied by Ijaw highlife musician Best May and his music band, also have a line up of special dignitaries expected to grace the second edition.

According to the invitation list, High Chief Dr. Government Ekpemupolo is the Father of the Day, while Comrade Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei and Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Keke Eguare, is the Chairman and Chairwoman of the Day.

Other special guests are the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor; the MD of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha; the MD of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Pondi; the Tonwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, High Chief Dr. Nelson Ogelegbanwei (JP); High Chief (Hon.) Anthony Ayebibode, Double Chief (Engr.) George Timiyan (JP), High Chief Ekomieyefa Uduboh, Sir Godfrey Tare Pondi, Elder Amos Okoro, Chief Felix Eguare and Chief Paul Ukuli.

Also expected as guests of honour are Sir Victor Tonlagha, Engr. Jeremiah Oritsejolone, Chief Godwin Olufemi, Engr. Gabriel Timiwei, Chief Jeffrey Ojogun, Double Chief Mercy Gbenekama, Chief Joseph Oritsejolone, Hon. Jimoh Keniye, Chief Lagos Bubor, Hon. Uyadonghan Powede, Engr. Edwin Isanren, Chief William Tortor, and Chief William Amami, among others.

Azama community is one of the major communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom and owns the record of the first community in the kingdom to produce a lawyer as well as host the first church.
