FUNERAL: Prominent Gbaramatu Elder Amos Okoro, Family Set to Bury Father, Invites General Public

Elder Amos Okoro, President of the Happy Men’s Club and a dedicated staff member of Chevron Nigeria Limited, alongside other family members, is set to lay to eternal rest his late father, Pa. Okoro Ugwakpemi Meeting, at Oporoza Town in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West council area of Delta State, on Friday, March 29, 2024.

The Late Pa. Okoro, who is popularly known as Osumoru-Ikpokpo, and a reputable personality in Gbaramatu, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 100 years on Friday, February 9th, 2024.

According to the funeral arrangement as announced and signed by Capt. Alangba Guwor for the family and Capt. Elder Paul Okoro for the children, the remains of the Late Pa. Okoro will depart the New Heaven Mortuary, Emebiren, at 8:00 am on Friday to Oporoza Town via Miller Waterfront near NPA, Warri.

On arrival at his hometown, Oporoza, a social wake-keep ceremony begins 7:00 pm prompt in honour of the personality of the deceased.

On Saturday, March 30, a church service will convene at the Christ Anglican Church (C.A.C), Oporoza, followed by the Interment ceremony billed for 9:00 am.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, March 31, a Thanksgiving Service by the family of the Late Pa. Okoro, holds at the C.A.C. in Oporoza.

The family members extend invitation to the general public to join them in honouring and celebrating the life of their revered father, grandfather and great grandfather.
