FUNERAL: Late Madam Power Sukunu for Burial August 11, 12

Friday, August 11, 2023, has been announced as the kickoff date for the burial of Late Madam Power Idibi Sukunu nee Ukuli, the grandmother of Hon. Akpodikumor Oturubo, a former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Community Development to the Delta State Government, and the immediate past chairman of Okerenkoko Federated Community in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State.

This was made known in a statement made available to PENGlobal Community on Tuesday, August 8, by Hon. Oturubo, and that was signed on behalf of the family by Elder (Boan.) Dr. Isaac Ukuli.

According to details of the funeral arrangement, the remains of the late Mama Sukunu nee Ukuli, who died in the late hours of Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at her Gbaramatu residence in Benikrukru community, will leave Ame Specialist Hospital Mortuary in Warri by 12noon on Friday 11 to Benikrukru.

On arrival in Benikrukru, a wake-keep ceremony will be held in honour of the deceased, to be followed by a final burial rite at her paternal community, Kokodiagbene, on Saturday, August 12, "with further burial celebration and interment."

Music entertainment is to supplied by Chief Kingsley Takemebo and Sir Abraham Young.

Recall that the late Mama Sukunu nee Ukuli is paternally from Ebiabu quarter and Oboro quarter in oil-rich Kokodiagbene and Benikrukru communities, respectively.

She is survived by seven children, 27 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace.
